According to Tom Benda “This is a very early pot, must be 2006. It’s a copy of a pot I had to save for myself, so I made one more for sale. It’s the same kanji as you find in my chop”
Tom Benda is a potter based in the Czech Republic. He is known for using a wood-fired kiln, which causes interesting variations in the glaze of his pots. This is one of Tom Benda’s earliest pots, a duplicate of one he made for his own use.
Has a small firing crack that doesn’t fully penetrate the pot and which may be intentional given the aesthetic of the pot (see final image)

Winter Shipping Info
At Wigert’s Bonsai we are able to ship trees year round, however shipping to areas where temperatures are below 35F can be risky.
“Winter Shipping is at Buyers Own Risk”. Unfortunately we cannot replace or refund trees if they are damaged in transit by the cold.
We recommend that you purchase a HEAT PACK at checkout. Also make sure to track the package so someone can be home to receive it so it will not sit outside in the cold. If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to contact us.
